While there is so much to see and do in the Queenstown area, we’ve chosen a few of our top places to share with you.

If you’re looking for lovely accommodation look no further than our favourite, the Sherwood Queenstown. Facing the crystal clear waters of the lake you’ll find the Sherwood nestled in the hills. This place has an amazing community focus and hosts events to bring the people together, whether it’s for laughs and wines or yoga workshops.

Onsen Hot Pools

These pools offer a unique kiwi twist to a Japanese bathing tradition. The Onsen Hot Pools are a nice way to relax and unwind as you watch over the Shotover River. Especially after a day hitting the slopes.

Arrowtown is a 20 minute drive outside of Queenstown, this historic gold-mining town is a favourite location to visit. If you take a stroll down the main street you’ll find all the quaint little cafés, restaurants, and shops.

We have a few favourite places that are a must to visit:
- Mora Wines & Artisan Kitchen
- Remarkable Sweet Shop
- Amisfield Bistro & Cellar Door

Driving from Queenstown through the Crown Range Summit to Arrowtown is a beautiful scenic drive as you pass through the highest road in New Zealand. From here you’ll have incredible views of Lake Hayes, the Remarkables range and Arrow Valley.

About an hour's drive from Queenstown via the Crown Range, Wānaka is a picturesque town surrounded by the Southern Alps. The town's charm lies in its blend of outdoor adventure and a relaxed, small-town feel.

Wander the Lake Wānaka waterfront, and you'll find Alchemy Bistro & Bar, centred around sourcing sustainable local ingredients and changing seasonal menu.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat we recommend the custard square from Pembroke Pâtisserie.

For the adventurers, you can venture 40 minutes out of Wānaka and enjoy a day of skiing or snowboarding at Mount Cardrona.

These slopes are perfect for beginners or the experienced, and afterwards you can sit by the fire and enjoy a mulled wine at Cardrona Hotel.
