"I had a very clear picture of the stone and style that I thought would suit Tahnee, Zoe was able to understand and execute my desires to perfection."

We hadn’t actually ever discussed getting married in so many words, but one day as we were watching a movie on his laptop, I saw an email pop up from Zoe with the subject line ‘design ideas’.

I kept very tight lipped, as did he, but I had a sneaking suspicion of what might be coming when he whisked me away down to Queenstown on boxing day 2020, for a surprise birthday trip. My suspicions were confirmed on a beautiful nature hike on the Mt Crichton trail.

We sat down on the banks of a little stream, and I lay down on the sun warmed pebbles. Liam told me to sit up and look at a rock he found in the shallows of the stream.

I lifted it up to find the stunning gold and green sapphire ring that he had designed for me with Zoe, and he asked me to marry him.

- Tahnee

I had a very clear picture of the stone and style that I thought would suit Tahnee, Zoe was able to understand and execute my desires to perfection.

The green sapphire stone shifts between green and blue depending on the light, just like Tahnee’s eyes, and as soon as I saw it I knew it was the one.

The process of designing the wedding band with Zoe was a breeze. It’s a modular ring, designed to fit seamlessly to the engagement ring.

It was exactly what I had envisaged, and I’ve had countless comments on how perfect the two rings look together. They are very unique, which I love. Liam chose the Eterno band for his wedding band in 18k gold and it looks incredible, it suits him so much.

Our wedding day on 9th April 2021 was perfection. We held it at a friends waterfront property on Waiheke, with a cute little bar in a boat shed, a marquee for eating and a stretch tent for music and dancing.

We held the ceremony beneath a sprawling hundred year old pepper tree, with the sound of the ocean in the background. The food was incredible, the music was amazing and we danced all night.
