9k and 18k Yellow Gold

Gold holds a rich historical significance as one of the earliest known metals discovered, its name originating from the old English word for yellow, 'geolu.' Its purity is measured in carats, with 24-carat gold representing pure gold. At Zoë & Morgan we use both 9k and 18k yellow gold for our fine and demi-fine jewellery. 18k contains 75% pure gold and 9k with 37.5% pure gold, with the remaining percentages being made up of other alloys such as silver and copper.
