This year marks 20 years of crafting jewellery that celebrates connections and stories. It’s a true privilege and an honour to be able to showcase a vibrant and fully-fledged expression of craftsmanship, individuality, and connection.

Making jewellery is in our DNA. Our father, Douglas, was a traditional silver and goldsmith, with a jewellery shop called Moonbird. It was here we gained a true appreciation for the craft and process of jewellery making, watching our father create coveted items of beauty and sentiment. The story of Zoë & Morgan

Zoë, Morgan and Ruth grew up in the beautiful English countryside. The family emigrated to New Zealand by sea. On the way, they visited Japan, Panama, Tahiti and Jamaica.

They settled in Devonport on the North Shore in Auckland. Their father Douglas, was a traditional silver and goldsmith, with a shop called Moonbird.

It was here the trio gained a true appreciation for the craft and process of jewellery making, watching their father create coveted items of beauty and sentiment.

After growing up in New Zealand, Zoë, Morgan and Ruth all moved back to London, England. Morgan went into the music industry, Zoë went into millinery, and Ruth went into modelling.

2005

Morgan travelled throughout India, returning with a pocket full of precious gemstones. Showing his finds to Zoë re-awakened a love of the process they witnessed as children. Within the blink of an eye it had begun.

The first pieces were made on the kitchen table in London. Before long they were collaborating… until Zoë & Morgan was formed.

Officially launching at Paris Fashion Week in 2005, Zoë & Morgan was instantly hailed as a success.

After the success of launch Zoë & Morgan continued to expand and grow.

2008

Zoë & Morgan’s new men’s collection debuted, filling a sizeable gap in the market for stylish yet masculine design.

2008

The fine collection marked a natural evolution in the brand with a focus on elegantly crafted pieces designed to be both wearable and timeless.

Sales across website giants like Net-a-porter saw the growth continue far and wide.

2009

Zoë & Morgan became digital, launching their first website. An exciting milestone for the team. (Little did they know this would be the first of many!)

2013

In 2013, we opened two stores. Primrose Hill, London and City Works Depot, Auckland, New Zealand.

2015

This year marked one of Zoë & Morgan’s first big milestones, celebrating 10 years. We celebrated with a party at The Seafearers Club, with friends and family.

Later that year we also launched our Engagement & Wedding Collection.

2019

Our London store found a new home in Notting Hill, just around the corner from the iconic Portobello Road.

2020

We celebrated the opening of our newly renovated City Works Depot showroom, and launched our Modern Love collection. Modern Love is an all inclusive collection that celebrates connection and limitless love.

2022

We introduced our markers mark to all our pieces. Our Zoë & Morgan Moonbird Maker’s Mark or stamp of authenticity, signifies quality and craftsmanship and is a nod to our Father and his store Moonbird reflecting a seminal time in our journey.

2022

As a commitment to sustainability and ethical practice we rolled out the Zoë & Morgan Circularity System. This is a milestone we as a team are extremely proud of as we’re able to create a closed loop system.

2024

In November 2024 we welcomed our new Modern Love collection, celebrating the beauty of joy and connection, a range inspired by the richness of relationships and the authenticity of self-growth. This collection reflects our belief in honouring life’s unique paths, moments marked by depth, sincerity, and a love that grows.

2025

We gave our Newmarket Showroom a fresh new look, ahead of celebrating 8 years in the Osbourne Lane precinct.

Our Logo Evolution

Our logo has evolved to reflect who we are and where we’re going. Each iteration has built on the last, by refining shapes, simplifying lines, and modernising our look while staying true to our identity. This evolution represents more than just visual change, it tells the story of our growth over the last twenty years.

2005

This crest was our first logo and plays on the classical history of jewellery - the hibiscus representing Polynesia, the lion and unicorn representing United Kingdom and blissed out woman as the central icon. Morgan designed this logo.

2007

We wanted to design a logo that was original rather than using a standard font - we found a master engraver who worked in an ancient studio in London piled high with Victorian tools. The logo was engraved by hand on a silver plate.

2007

The intertwined Z and M initials were based on historical jewellery engraving styles.

2009

We added these hand drawn drips to the logo as a homage to our love of grafitti.

2009

Inspired by the Venetian tiger and swallow carnival masks we had as children. We based necklace and earring designs on these whimsical masks. The tiger became our new brand icon.

2013

A few years later logo was refined and we added the geometric frame which was inspired by our Misfit Earrings design and our love for Art Deco.

2022

In 2022 we gave our logo a fresh look, while still keeping the essence of the original design.

Our Maker's Mark is a tribute to our father's jewellery shop, Moonbird. Taken from his original storefront sign, the Moonbird motif is a bird flying through a simple crescent moon manifests freedom, connectivity and love.
