Our Journals: Designing a Bespoke Engagement Ring
Everyone is unique and being able to express that with a co-created piece of jewellery is a meaningful way of solidifying a time in your life.
It’s a reminder of where you’ve come from, what you’ve achieved and where you’re going.
What does a bespoke appointment look like?
To start the process, we like to meet and spend time getting to know you, hearing your stories, and deepening our understanding of what you’re looking for.
Can we capture the true essence of you in this design? What part of your love story wants to be told in this forever piece?
You'll have the option to explore our collections, with ready-made pieces that can be customised further, or co-create a design infused with personal significance and power, tailored specifically to you.
Consider if you'll wear a wedding band with the engagement ring. Does the design need to stack, or have bands that are designed to work around the ring?
It may be a small change to one of our existing designs, or something that challenges our creativity. It’s all about the journey we go on together for the creation of your ring.
Selecting materials
Our designer will guide you through the selection of materials, helping you explore different metals and gemstone options - from classic diamonds to uniquely coloured stones. We also consider your everyday jewellery and lifestyle to ensure the piece feels truly personal.
Do you tend to wear more gold or platinum? Are you drawn to a timeless diamond, or the individuality of a coloured gemstone?
Gemstones can also carry meaningful symbolism. For example, green sapphires are often associated with a love that grows stronger over time. When choosing the perfect stone for your engagement ring, think about how it will reflect your personal style while being durable enough to wear and cherish every day.

Crafting your bespoke engagement ring
After our initial consultation period, we'll gather the materials necessary to bring your vision to life. This involves providing the precise dimensions of stones and taking into consideration your personal measurements, ensuring a perfect fit and balanced composition.
Before any crafting begins, the design will be presented to you for approval. Once you've signed this off, our master jewellers will begin crafting your piece, dedicating their expertise to your bespoke design.
The process can take anywhere from 6 - 8 weeks or more, depending on the complexity of the design.
